Belden showcases broadcast solutions at IBC 2014

Belden shows expanding product range and highlights easy installation, high performance, and reliability

Venlo, The Netherlands - August 7, 2014 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, is set to show its full range of broadcast solutions at IBC 2014. As an established leader in HD broadcast solutions, Belden offers a range of products that set the standards for easy installation, high performance, quality and reliability. These form the basis for world-class solutions for immediate and uninterrupted transmission, flawless HD and 3G audio and video streams.

A key example of Belden's approach is the recently completed 45,000 square-meter Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium located in Al Ain in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, which has used Belden copper and fiber cables to achieve the highest signal integrity and the latest camera compatibility. The Belden cabling infrastructure supports 85 screens, including an enormous 40 square meter stadium screen, a sophisticated audio system, dedicated media centre, press conference room, outside broadcast units and more than 30 camera locations for television broadcasting.

Belden Duobond Plus HD Digital Video cables

A first in the broadcast industry: extending Belden's world-class range of coaxial digital video cables and connectors, the new Belden Duobond Plus DNH series with bonded foil over the dielectric make the termination of Belden's 1-Piece HD BNC very easy and much faster than the traditional 3-Piece BNCs. They set the standard for reliability to deliver the performance required for HD, 3G and 4K video transmissions, with guaranteed signal integrity over longer transmission distances, helping to save both installation time and costs.

Belden SMPTE311 HD Camera Assembly

In addition to producing the best-known SMPTE311 cables in the world, Belden has introduced a new high quality hybrid fiber SMPTE311 HD Camera Assembly that supports 720p, 1080i and 1080p. HD cameras provide digital transmission using SMPTE311 standard fiber optic cable for connecting to the camera control unit. In addition to their exceptional quality, HD cameras can transmit all digital bi-directional video and audio signals, one control line, power line, and prompter line over extremely long distances - up to 4000 meters with Belden SMPTE311 HD Camera Assemblies.
