VARAN Bus User Organization Recommends TE Connectivity's Industrial Mini I/O Type I Connector for Its Real-Time Ethernet Bus System

DARMSTADT, Germany - February 10, 2016 - TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity, announced that the VARAN Bus User Organization (VNO) recommends using TE's Industrial Mini I/O Type I connector for VARAN's real-time Ethernet bus system.
"We believe TE's Industrial Mini I/O connector is the reliable input/output connector choice in support of VARAN's real-time bus system for machine automation, and at a quarter of the size of a conventional RJ45, their Industrial Mini I/O offers substantial space savings too," says David Eisl, technology consultant for VARAN.
When selecting the right real-time bus system for machine automation, reliability plays a central role in addition to speed. VARAN offers a robust, error-tolerant and future-oriented bus system, with the advantage of immediate repetition of unacknowledged messages within a bus cycle. TE supports the reliable VARAN standard with its Industrial Mini I/O connector, a compact, space-saving connector built around a two points of contact system. The VNO recommends Industrial Mini I/O interface Type I (IEC/PAS 61076-3-122 standardized), whereby both 4 and 8 wire industrial Ethernet is supported at 10/100Mbps and 1Gbps.
