SteelStructures 2016 to Become Main Business Platform for Steel Constructors

SteelStrctures 2016, a new project of Metal-Expo for steel products and structures, will be launched on 6 -- 9 June2016 at Expocentre Fairgrounds, Moscow. The event is endorsed by Steel Construction Development Association, Russian Steel Partnership, and Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers. A hard-driving program focused on the most pressing problems of steel construction will be held in parallel with the exhibition.
SteelStructures - 2016, the exhibition and a business platform focused on steel structures manufacture and use will bring together the main players in the steel construction market. Engineers, designers, and manufacturers of steel structures, steel processing equipment and consumables, as well as top-managers of the leading companies in the industry will discuss problems and prospects of steel structures use during the business program of the exhibition.
SteelStructures exhibition reconciles interests of manufacturers and suppliers of construction steels and end-users of their products and services. More than 1 thousand steel structures manufacturers, all having different aims and problems, currently operate in Russia. SteelStructures - 2016 provides the market participants a good opportunity to discuss the most pressing problems of the industry among themselves as well as their suppliers and end-users.
The advantage of the SteelStructures 2016 project over other construction trade shows lies in its specialization and well-thought-out problematics. The exhibition is mainly focused on steel structures and steel products for construction. Steel structures manufacturers, steel service centers, steel and aluminum processing equipment manufacturers as well as suppliers of steel structures protection and joining materials will exhibit their latest solutions. Specialization on steel structures attracting certain groups of professionals will help designers, steel structures and equipment manufacturers as well as suppliers of solutions and consumables efficiently present their products.
The significance of the exhibition is recognized on the federal level: SteelStructures 2016 will host one of the 2 annual meetings of the Coordination Councils of the Steel Industry by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. Despite the exhibition being a premiere, a hard-driving business program will be held in parallel with it to bring together a big number of professionals in steel structures design, manufacture, marketing, sales, assembling, and testing.
Steel Construction, the All-Russia Conference will focus on the most pressing issues of the steel structures market development. The business program will also cover developments of laws and regulations of the industry: Steel Structures Manufacture and Design Regulations round table and Light-Gauged Steel Structures: Implemented Projects, Regulations and Design round table will be held during the exhibition. Equipment manufacturers will exhibit their products on the stands and present them on international conferences Modern Equipment and Solutions for Steel Structures Galvanizing, and Steel Structures Welding, Thermal-Cutting, and Protecting as well as on Perfect Steel Structures Plant, a presentation session for equipment, software and auxiliaries suppliers. Aluminium industry professionals will discuss the most pressing problems of the industry at Aluminium: Alloys, Rolled Stock, and Profiles for Industry and Construction, the 8th International Conference on 8 - 9 June. A big number of training events and contests winners awarding will also be held during the exhibition. A special attention at the exhibition will be given to light-gauged steel structures, a new material for the Russian construction complex, to issues of their use and testing.
Since the Russian construction complex has always been one of the main steel products consumers, steel producers and suppliers now focus on expanding domestic demand. Due to the biggest steel companies and research institutions the Russian steel construction is booming not only in traditional infrastructure and industrial constructions, but also in civil construction following the best global practices.
The share of steel framed high-rise buildings in developed economies reaches 50 - 65% and Russian construction complex also has a good potential. New state standards and regulations will soon be adopted to help Russia catch up with developed economies as regards to standard-setting. The new regulations will help design buildings using new materials and undergo expert review using the most advanced global experience. The main advantage of using steel structures lies in costs cutting due to high speed of construction and flexible layouts. Since a 95% ready steel framed residential building can be built in 3-4 months, their construction volume will in the nearest future reach 1M sqm. Social infrastructure is another prospective field of steel structures application. A quick development of Russian agglomerations requires ongoing constructions of high-rise buildings, as well as sports, logistics, sanitary, and educational venues. Steel structures plants gradually turn from design and manufacture of steel structures for unique buildings to universal models design. More than 500k t of new steel structures production and steel processing facilities were commissioned in the last few years. Russia still remains one of the most prospective economies for steel construction development.
